Frisky Animals Presents Super Cat #54* from Star Publications was published on June of 1953. The bright, contrasting color popping off the newsstand artwork is the clearly recognizable work of L.B. Cole.
The anthropomorphic-funny animal “Super Cat” as it turns out is Cosmo Cat, reprinted from All Top Comics #7 [a] (Fox, July 1947). In fact, except for the cover wrap, the whole book was lifted from All Top #7a.
