5192016cfix12You would be correct for thinking there are a lot of “teen humor” Golden Age comic books.  No doubt they sprang up post-WWII as superhero’s demand faded – and Archie began to sell.

Still in a relatively pre-TV era (the Batman and Superman publisher DC comics “Leave It To Binky” version predated television’s Leave It To Beaver by almost ten years) comic book publishing numbers were still on the rise. This Leave It to Binky #3*  (June-July 1948) has a not-so-run-of-the-mill, stand-out cover by Binky co-creator Bob Oksner.   Bertram “Binky” Biggs was published (with at least two hiatuses) for 71 total issues between 1948 and 1970.
