Captain Easy #12

Captain Easy and his buddy Wash Tubbs make it to Hippa-Hula island in a scheme to obtain the beauty secrets of the island girls to sell to the cosmetics industry.

Like so many other comics of the era, issue #12* for Standard Publications in April 1948 contains characters that were developed for newspaper strips nearly two decades earlier (in this instance by cartoonist Roy Crane).  Presumably these are reprints of the adventurer from an unknown time frame, but they are nonetheless richly drawn.  In the words of the captain “Hooray for the Gals of Hippa-Hula!”
